AP Youth Week Of October 19th - 25th

Hello 7th-12th Grade Families,

I hope you all are doing well and staying safe.

Here’s a look at what is happening this week:

On Monday, October 19th, 12 - 2 PM we will be having our outdoor homeroom, where students can be outside doing homework in the Church parking lot. This week we will be having a therapy dog come and visit us thanks to Laurel, one of our abiding fellows, we will be wearing a mask the whole time and staying 6ft apart.

Tuesday, October 20th, 4 - 5 PM we have Small Groups meeting in the parking lot for 9th & 10th graders. This is a chance to get together in small groups not only for games and fun but also for intentional conversation. This week will be continuing a new series called Alpha youth, it is a series designed specifically for teens that allows them to question, dream, and explore faith on their own. This will be great for any student, no matter where they find themselves in their faith journey.

Friday, October 23rd, 7 - 8:15 PM is Friday Night Lights, for this week we will be having a movie night in the parking lot. We will be watching Halloween Town (1998), eating candy, playing games, and roasting smores. Please sign up in advance here, abidingpresence.net/youth, parents please sign up to volunteer as well.

Our Abiding Fellows (11th & 12th grade) will be meeting two times this week, in person on Monday 1:30 -2:30 PM, and online on Wednesday from 7:30 - 8:30 PM.

We will continue to follow our safety protocol and ask everyone to wear a mask at all in-person events.

If you have any questions, suggestions, or ideas as we head into fall, please do not hesitate to be in touch.

Blessings,
Mr. Jon
