Children’s Ministry
Children’s Ministry is for kids ages 3 through 6th grade and their families. We welcome children at each age and stage of their growing up to learn about God’s love for them and feel like they matter in our church community. When we say, “All are Welcome” we mean all. Our Neurodiversity Ministry is one of the many ways we live into this welcome. Michaela, our Children & Family Minister, is always willing to talk with families about how their children can feel at home at Abiding Presence.
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL MINISTRY - SPRING 2024
Sunday Morning Faith Formation (Sunday School)
The Walk: April 14 through May 19 from 10:05-10:50 a.m.
How do we walk with Jesus? We may know how to talk the “Jesus talk,” but do we know how to walk the “Jesus walk?” There are moments in our lives when we might not know which path to take, but the Bible teaches us how to keep moving with Jesus. Thanks to Jesus’ example in the Gospels, we know how to “walk the Jesus walk” and we will rediscover this through five spiritual practices for Christians. Over the next six weeks, kids will engage in Scripture and faith through hands-on, age appropriate activities that excite them. These lessons are inspired by Adam Hamilton’s, The Walk: Five Essential Practices of the Christian Life.
At Abiding Presence, our Sunday morning faith formation follows a workshop model. You pick an age-appropriate workshop to engage in for the seven week session. Confirmation Kickstart (6th Grade) - During the final Sunday School Cycle this spring all rising 7th graders are invited to join Pastor Kelsey for Confirmation Kickstart! We will get a head start on all things Confirmation, bond as a group, start exploring our Confirmation Bibles, and talk about what the next two years together will look like! On May 19th we are inviting parents to join their students for the education hour to hear more about the program. If you have questions, please email Pastor Kelsey.
PRESCHOOL MINISTRY - SPRING 2024

This spring, Ms. Lori, Ms. Christina and Ms. Leslie are back to teach our youngest and brightest in our Preschool Workshop. The class will take place indoors in Classrooms 10 & 11. All children who turned three prior to January 31, 2024 through pre-K are invited to participate. We can’t wait to learn about Jesus through Bible stories, activities, and play. Registration is live! ABIDING KIDS MUSIC MINISTRY - SPRING 2024
Abiding Kids Music (Kindergarten-3rd Grade)
Tuesdays from 5:30-6:15 p.m.
Sing, Play, Move, and Pray with Ms. Nicole and Dr. Dave on Tuesdays this fall! Abiding Kids Music for fall 2023 is open to Kindergarten - 3rd grade students and includes choir/instrumental ensemble singing and playing with music from a variety of cultures. Youth Music (6th-10th Grade)
Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

ABIDING FAMILIES MINISTRY - SPRING 2024
KIDS FOOD PANTRY THURSDAYS
Two Thursdays a Month from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Students of all ages are invited to join Ms. Michaela and participate in a service project for the Abiding Presence Food Pantry. On the Thursday before every Abiding Presence Food Pantry, you can come learn about how the food pantry operates, help pray over the produce and the people who are coming, and learn about service as a spiritual discipline.
