AP Youth Week Of October 13th - 18th
Hello 7th-12th Grade Families,
I hope you all are doing well and staying safe.
Here’s a look at what is happening this week:
Today, Tuesday, October 13th, 4 - PM we have Small Groups meeting in the parking lot for 9th & 10th graders. This is a chance to get together in small groups not only for games and fun but also for intentional conversation. This week will be starting a new series called Alpha youth, it is a series designed specifically for teens that allows them to question, dream, and explore faith on their own. This will be great for any student, no matter where they find themselves in their faith journey.
Thursday, October 15th, 2 - 5 PM I will be doing driveway visits. If you are interested in catching up, hearing about what the youth ministry is doing, want to just talk about how life is going, then I will come and sit in your driveway with you. I will wear a mask the whole time, and stay 6ft apart. To schedule a time email me at, jon@abidingpresence.net and we will figure out a time!
Our Abiding Fellows (11th & 12th grade) will not be meeting this week, take this time to continue fleshing out your project ideas. Be sure to be thinking and including ways to include the larger church in your projects!
Finally, I would like to bring to your attention the new Music & Arts Small Group Ministry that is launched this past Sunday and next Sunday afternoon. These small group ensembles and classes are going to be outdoors and will follow all of our usual safety protocols. David Chavez, our Music and Worship Minister, is leading this new ministry along with a fantastic team of musicians and artists.
We will continue to follow our safety protocol and ask everyone to wear a mask at all in-person events.
If you have any questions, suggestions, or ideas as we head into fall, please do not hesitate to be in touch.
Blessings,
Mr. Jon
