Music Ministry Opportunities...

Adult Choir

Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. from September to May. The choir sings music from all eras from Renaissance to contemporary, accompanied by varied instrumentation (a cappella, organ/piano, orchestra, etc.). As worship leaders during the Sunday morning 11:00 traditional service and various special services, the choir is integral to supporting congregational participation in worship. If you love to sing, this is a great way to be involved!

  • Open to all adults, high school students, and (with director permission) middle schoolers

Children's Choirs

  • Age-appropriate activities, singing songs and playing instruments to lift praises to the Lord! The choir groups give children the opportunity to socialize with their friends and have fun singing, signing and dancing! The children learn songs with the aid of CDs and the piano. Those who are readers and learning to read will be introduced to written music. Sign language and movement help in learning the songs and enhances the presentation of the songs. Instruments help teach rhythm while having fun making a joyful noise!

Abiding Presence Brass

Trumpets and horns have long been called upon to praise God. At Abiding Presence, we've been praising God with all sorts of horns for as long as the church has been around! Come join us.

Bring your French horn, euphonium, trombone, tuba, trumpet—any brass instrument is welcome. Our group is targeted for adults and high school youth. For you adults out there, we know you have an old horn tucked away in a closet somewhere. Well... get it out and oil it up! Contact Mike Dyson through the church office or email Music & Worship Minister David Chavez if interested.
