Small Group Leader

Abiding Presence is a vibrant, active, family-friendly and affirming congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We are seeking dynamic young adults to serve as Small Group Leaders for our Wednesday night Youth Group who will provide fun and compassionate leadership for a group of assigned middle or high school youth on a weekly basis. Small Group leaders will joyfully eat dinner with their students, lead them in games, and engage them in meaningful conversation about their lives and their faith. Topics for discussion and a general outline of the evening will be provided each week for the Small Group Leaders to follow. Small Group Leaders will work closely with the Pastor for Youth and College-Age Ministries to create and maintain a welcoming, affirming, and fun environment for youth that has them coming back week after week. The ideal candidate will be passionate and articulate about their personal faith in Jesus, not afraid to look silly from time to time, highly relational, reliable, excited about working with youth, and able to excel in a fast-paced work environment that requires the ability to multitask.
