Children & Family Minister

We are seeking to call a full-time Children & Family Minister to focus on ministry with and to birth to elementary school age youth and their families.

The person we are seeking as our next Children & Family Minister will be a highly organized person with strong communication skills. This person will be equally skilled at working with children and forming teams of adults to help work with children, too. They will oversee an already established robust Christian Education ministry that includes Sunday School, Wednesday Night Gathering, elementary school youth groups. and Vacation Bible School. There is, however, plenty of room for creativity and continued growth within this established ministry. Being a team player is essential to the position.

Youth & Family Minister

In addition to replacing our existing Children & Family Minister position, we are adding a new full-time position to focus on ministry with and to 7th-12th graders, college students and their families.

The person we are seeking as our Youth & Family Minister will be a highly organized person who is innovative and motivated. This person will be passionate about not only ministry with youth, but also creating opportunities for intergenerational faith formation and connections across the congregation. Being a team player is essential to the position.

Abiding Presence is one of 12 congregations in the US across denominations that is part of Princeton Seminary’s Log College Project Community of Practice. The Youth & Family Minister will have the opportunity to work with our already established “Design Team” to implement a ministry idea, oversee the $15,000 grant that is part of the project and learn alongside a community of other churches innovating ministry with and to youth.
