A Blue Christmas

A Blue Christmas

This year has been hard. Like Charlie Brown in the “Charlie Brown Christmas,” many of us struggle to find the joy and excitement that feels expected for the Christmas season.

The Blue Christmas Service has always been a space for it to be OK to be not OK. This year, we hope that you will give yourself the space to breathe, grieve, and maybe even laugh in the sacred space that God offers us to be fully human, fully present, and fully not OK. Light a candle, sing a song, and share in the human stories of darkness and light, sorrow and joy, and redemptive hope that comes in the strangest forms.

"Advent at Home" Kit Pick-Up Event

We’ve put together a kit with everything you need to celebrate Advent at home this year! Come by the church to waive hello to the staff and collect your kit. There will be advent wreath making materials, devotional books and a few other surprises, too. Additionally, this year we will be asking the congregation to have a “Reverse Advent Calendar.” We’ll give you a bag and a list of items to collect in it during Advent that be used to support our food ministry and ECHO. Then bring it back on Christmas Eve (or sometime after Christmas) as part of our offering to one of our parking lot events.
