Ayana Mathis is the author of 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘛𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘷𝘦 𝘛𝘳𝘪𝘣𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘏𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘦 (Knopf, 2012) and most recently, 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘜𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦𝘥 (Knopf, 2023), the inaugural winner of McSweeney’s Gabe Hudson Prize.
