Our 30-minute children’s service offers the story of Jesus’ crucifixion in an age appropriate and interactive way. Through dialogue with puppets, scripture, prayers, music and more, we will worship together.
We will be hosting a Pizza Dinner for families to gather together prior to the service. Join us for a time of faith and fellowship as we bring our Lenten journey to a close.

Early Easter Sunday morning, we will gather in the Burke Lake Park Amphitheater for a sunrise service. This is a family friendly service where children of all ages are welcome. Dress is casual. We will proclaim, “Christ is risen,” as the sun rises over the lake. Following the service, there will be coffee and donuts.

Amazing Race DAY 7th-12th grade
April 10, 9:00a.m.-4:00p.m.
We're bringing the Amazing Race Camp we all know and love to the school year! On select days that FCPS has off of school, Pastor Kelsey and our youth will head into DC for adventures in service, learning, teamwork and exploring! Just like over the summer, students will meet Pastor Kelsey at the Franconia Springfield Metro at 9:00a.m. and return as close to 4:00p.m. as possible. Students will need to carry their own metro card and their packed lunch. Everyone will be on a team that figures out clues, navigates to destinations, and looks at a bible story together. Parent chaperones will be needed to make this a success. Registration is below.

Silas Burke House, 9617 Burke Lake Road
The Burke Historical Society is offering a special tour of the Silas Burke House just for the Abiding Presence OWLs. This historic home was the residence of Lieutenant Colonel Silas Burke, his wife, Hanna Coffer Burke, and their two children. Silas Burke had this house built close to the time of his marriage in 1824. Burke was a successful entrepreneur and operated a store, mill, and a blacksmith shop. Burke's efforts brought the railroad through his property and his neighbors'. Additionally, Silas Burke served as a county sheriff, a lieutenant colonel in the county militia, school commissioner, and president of the Fairfax Agricultural Society.

Students of all ages are invited to join Ms. Michaela and participate in a service project for the Abiding Presence Food Pantry. On the Thursday before every Abiding Presence Food Pantry, you can come learn about how the food pantry operates, help pray over the produce and the people who are coming, and learn about service as a spiritual discipline.

Our choir sings repertoire of all eras, from early music to new commissions. As worship leaders during the Sunday morning traditional service and various special services, the choir is integral to supporting congregational participation in worship. If you love to sing, this is a great way to be involved!

Amazing Race DAY 7th-12th grade
February 17, 9:00a.m.-4:00p.m.
We're bringing the Amazing Race Camp we all know and love to the school year! On select days that FCPS has off of school, Pastor Kelsey and our youth will head into DC for adventures in service, learning, teamwork and exploring! Just like over the summer, students will meet Pastor Kelsey at the Franconia Springfield Metro at 9:00a.m. and return as close to 4:00p.m. as possible. Students will need to carry their own metro card and their packed lunch. Everyone will be on a team that figures out clues, navigates to destinations, and looks at a bible story together. Parent chaperones will be needed to make this a success. Registration is here.

3rd Sunday of the Month in Classroom #1

This group is for families who have members whose brains navigate the world a little differently. We walk with each other in navigating the joys and challenges of supporting our loved ones (and, sometimes ourselves) with diagnoses that include ADHD, autism, dyslexia and other disabilities. We also support the church in continuing to be a welcoming community to neurodiverse families.

Students of all ages are invited to join Ms. Michaela and participate in a service project for the Abiding Presence Food Pantry. On the Thursday before every Abiding Presence Food Pantry, you can come learn about how the food pantry operates, help pray over the produce and the people who are coming, and learn about service as a spiritual discipline.

Wednesdays, 7:30-9:00 p.m.
Adult Choir rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., September through June; we also have just-show-up-and-sing choir singing opportunities from time to time (stay tuned to the weekly e-news). Our choir sings repertoire of all eras, from early music to new commissions. As worship leaders during the Sunday morning traditional service and various special services, the choir is integral to supporting congregational participation in worship. If you love to sing, this is a great way to be involved!
