9th-12th Grade

The Abiding Presence Youth program is going on a Canoe Trip with our friends from Caroline Furnace on September 9th. This will be a trip for 9th-12th graders only. We did this same trip with 7th Grade Adventure Camp this summer and had an absolute blast! The route is about 3 miles with a break for lunch in the middle. We'll put in at a boat ramp in Sharpsburg MD on the Potomac River. Canoeing experience is not necessary and the Caroline Furnace staff is fully trained on river tours and safety. They will provide canoes, PFDs, paddles, and emergency kit. 

We'll meet at church at 8:00 a.m. to carpool and then hope to return by 4:30 p.m. The cost is $30/person and includes lunch. We will need some chaperones/drivers and if those folks would like to canoe their fee would be covered. If you have any questions, please email Pastor Kelsey Kresse.
