If you answered yes to any of these questions, then we’ve got something for you to try! Abiding Presence is launching a new way of being part of a small group. This new year, we’re launching a text-based women’s small group.

We will be forming small groups of 4-6 women who will spend 8-weeks getting to know one another, digging into faith and praying together – all over text message. About three times a week, your group will get a text prompt from Pastor Keseley, Senior Pastor. That prompt might be a get to know you question, a Bible verse with an invitation to share about something connected to it, or a nudge to share a prayer request. Then, you will respond – whenever you have a moment to do so. Hopefully, your small group will do some text chatting in between those prompts, too.

This is the kind of small group you can participate in while standing in line at the grocery store, sitting in the car waiting for pickup or walking into an appointment. It’s meant to be no stress!

Hopefully you will connect with the people in your small group informally in person as you worship, sit at the Abiding Table or engage in church activities. We would love if these groups naturally morphed into lasting friendships, support networks and prayer partners. If they do, great! If your group doesn’t click, no problem! It’s an 8-week experiment with little to lose by giving it a try.
