We will be taking a college visit to the school that brought us Mr. Jon and Ms. Michelle. Mr. Jon and Ms. Michelle will be taking students up to campus to give tours, introducing them to some of the amazing professors and faculty, and much more! The senior high youth will be going to Chesapeake Bagel Bakery for breakfast during the Sunday School hour. They will meet in the narthex to leave by 10:00 a.m. to will drive over together then return in time for the 11:00 worship service. Youth should bring money for breakfast. One of the most looked-forward-to events of the year for Senior High... it’s time for Field of Fear at Cox Farms! The youth will enjoy an evening of scary fun through a hayride, corn maze, and much more! The senior high will meet at church at 6:30 p.m., and will text or call on their way back, but expect it to be around 10 p.m. Tickets will be $30 per person. RSVP to Sara Dyson.

Rising 7th grade families (and rising 8th graders who are new to confirmation) are invited to join Pastor Keseley for a cook out on the church patio. Come get connected with other 1st year confirmation families. The church will provide the hamburgers, hot dogs and condiments. Each family is asked to please bring a side dish or dessert to share. All of our rising 7th - 12th grade youth volunteers are heading to lunch at Glory Days! Come celebrate the ministry we are doing together and recharge for the rest of the week.
Twelve youth and three adults from Abiding Presence will be joining approximately 30,000 other Lutheran youth and adults in Houston, Texas for the ELCA National Youth Gathering. They will spend five days in worship, service and learning throughout the city. Join us for worship the weekend of July 7/8 to hear more about their experiences.
We will send our graduating high school seniors off onto their next phase of life with a service filled with our prayers and blessings. Following the service, there will be a cake reception in honor of our seniors.
Abiding Presence youth are collecting the following items in good, clean condition: Clothing, Accessories (hats, belts, scarves, etc.), Shoes, Linens, Books and Small Household items. Bring them to the church in plastic trash bags anytime between May 25-June 3. Every item donated turns into money to help send the youth to the ELCA Youth Gathering. We've partnered with the company FUNdrive who will pay us per pound of items collected.
Donations can be made online or by taking an envelope from the display in the narthex. The deadline for donations is April 30.
The Sunday after Easter is Youth Sunday at Abiding Presence and is one of the most Spirit-filled services of the year!
