Cox Farm Field of Fear (7th-12th Grade)

Our 7th-12th grade students are heading to Cox Farm for Fields of Fear

  • This event is for 7th-12th graders and friends.

  • We will meet at Abiding Presence at 6:15 p.m. to get in the cars and head over to Cox Farms. If you'd like to drive other students or have your child ride with another family we request that all folks in the car be vaccinated and wear a mask. If you're willing to drive to Cox Farms, please indicate that in the sign up form.

  • A couple adults are needed to stay at Cox farms and help chaperone. If you're available to do this, please indicate that on the sign up form.

  • We will be pre-purchasing all tickets so the sign up form needs to be filled out by Saturday October 9th by 8am. You can pay for your tickets by check or online (give to "youth summer camp 7-12").

Friday Night Lights (7th-12th Grade)

Friday, June 18 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. in the Parking Lot

Calling all 7th-12th grade students! Come gather in the parking lot for an hour of fun, games and connection. During this interim time of staffing, we are grateful for the parents who are stepping up to make sure that Friday Night Lights continues this month. They will need the support of as many parents as possible to make this happen (with the chance for the adults to socialize during the night, too).

As with all outdoor youth activities at Abiding Presence, masks will be worn by participants, COVID-19 questions will be asked at sign-in and students are asked to stay home if they are experiencing symptoms or possibly exposed to COVID-19.

Pastor Keseley will be taking over the leadership of the 9th & 10th grade small group for the next few weeks. Come join us as we read scripture, engage in dynamic conversation, build relationships and have fun. Please mark your calendar with the new schedule!

We will meet in the church parking lot for an afternoon of service. We will be tackling gardening, weeding, and staining of the benches. Come ready to get dirty and work hard! Tools and materials will be provided, but please bring your own work gloves and water bottles.

Outdoor Prayer Service

Sunday, March 7 from 1:00-1:30 p.m.

As we mark nearly a year of "pandemic times" and public schools in our community return to in-person learning opportunities, let us hold in our prayers teachers, school staff members and students.

This brief service will offer the chance for us to pray with and for the teachers, school staff and students in our community. We will also offer them a blessing as they enter into this next phase of learning. Teachers, school staff and students are invited to bring a mask or other supplies to be blessed. Anyone who would like can bring a lawn chairs to sit in during the service or plan to stand.

This outdoor service will take place in the parking lot. All participants are asked to wear a mask, practice social distancing and stay home if you are sick or have possible COVID-19 exposure. Cars can park in the back half of the parking lot. We will gather - distanced - in the front half of the lot. Please leave adequate space, usually a parking spot in length, between households.
