The need for Mental Health Care is at an all-time high right now, and Abiding Presence is discerning how to be the hands and feet of Christ in addressing this need. Pastor Keseley announced at our annual church meeting that we as a church community will be focusing on two needs this year: hunger, and mental health. In order to follow our call to be Christ to our community, we must first understand what is needed. In response, Pastor Vought and Sarah Snow, Congregational Care Minister, are leading a study during lent that will be a journey through the ELCA social message on "The Body of Christ and Mental Illness." Join us for this 5-week Lenten study. You will learn not only some basics about what mental illness is and looks like, but also how we are called as Christians to respond.
