Summer Abiding Fellows is a paid summer leadership development program for rising 10th-12th graders. Join us for 5 weeks of leadership building, service, vocational discernment and fun. Pay is $12.77/hour. Fellows will have the opportunity to engage in daily faith formation, serve as Summer Camp Counselors and gain valuable work experience. Applications are now open and will be reviewed on a rolling basis until all positions are filled or June 1, which ever comes later.
Abiding Fellows is one of the ways our church invests in young people. The program is designed for students who are active worshipers at Abiding Presence or who desire to find a church home with us. The expectation is that Abiding Presence will be - or become - the church home of those participating in the program. Want to learn more about becoming active in the church? Reach out to Pastor Kelsey, Pastor for Youth & College-Age Ministries.
Graduating seniors are invited to participate in our College-Age Internship Program.

REQUIRED Summer Abiding Fellows Training Day- June 18 (8:30p.m.-12:30p.m.) and 19 (8:30a.m.-12:30p.m.)
Summer Abiding Fellows Program begins June 22
Summer Abiding Fellows Program Ends: July 31
There is some fine print:
Abiding Fellows are expected to voluntarily worship regularly during the summer (i.e., If you are in town on a Sunday morning in June or July, we would like to see you at church!)
We understand vacations happen. We ask you to commit in advance to the program on a weekly basis, which is to say, you will attend all days on the weeks you are interning.
We will be in contact with applicants and current Fellows via both phone/text/group message and email. It is the student’s responsibility to make sure they are checking both their texts and their email for important information regarding employment paperwork, scheduling, and training. All Fellows must be able to receive and respond to group text messages.
There is no Abiding Fellows June 29-July 3. We are on mid-summer break during this time.
If you are under the age of 16 when the internship program begins, you will need to obtain a work permit before starting. This is an easy, online process that we will guide you through.
We want you to want to be here! This program is specifically designed for leadership development and vocational discernment through the lens of faith. It’s also a job, so it will be work. If that excites you – or you have no idea what that means but are willing to come find out – this is the program for you. If your parents are making you do it, this will not be the right fit this summer.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please reach out to Pastor for Youth and College-Age Ministries, Pastor Kelsey, at pastorkresse@abidingpresence.net.
