Challenge Gift for Abiding Presence Food Ministry

One of our Abiding Presence families is offering a challenge grant for the Abiding Presence food ministry. Here’s their story:

Over the years, we have supported the Abiding Presence Food Ministry with our time, non-perishable food donations and financial gifts. We’ve done so because we know first-hand what a difference this kind of ministry makes in people’s lives. Growing up, we both had single mothers that worked hard to make ends meet. Unfortunately, sometimes it just wasn’t possible. Thanks to the generosity of others, like our local churches and food banks, we never went hungry. Now, it means the world to us to be in a position where we can give to make sure that other families have the same support we had.

Here’s where you get to be part of the story, too! Recognizing that our food ministry is the work of the whole church, this family is offering a $100 cash gift for each household that makes a monetary contribution to the food pantry in the month of February (up to a total of $5,000). The amount of your gift doesn’t matter. What does matter is the idea that every gift – large and small – is a sign of us coming together to make sure that every family in need in our community has access to food.
