Iron Men, A Hidden Gem of Abiding Presence

Are you a man looking to get more involved in the church community? Would you like to share life experiences with people who can relate to you? Are you eager to further connect with your faith? If you answered yes to these three questions, the Iron Men group is perfect for you!

The gentlemen of Iron Men share the common goal of creating a welcoming and comforting environment to invite each other to talk about difficulties life may bring. Listening to each other’s stories allows the men to connect and grow, forming deeper relationships within the group. Every man has a unique story that others can learn from, and Iron Men encourages you to join and share your story.

“It has been amazing,” explains Chad Davis, the facilitator of Iron Men, “Guys aren’t as open and honest about how they feel in everyday life, so this group allows men to talk freely.”

Of course, the work of Christ is truly working through these men as their honest confessions and shared experiences motivates them to use what they learn in everyday life. Chad Davis gives an explanation of a time where the Holy Spirit guided him, “I made a mistake at work, and instead of blaming my coworkers, I owned up to it. I thought about the men and the group’s message of thinking and acting more spiritually.”

One activity Iron Men does (during Covid-free times), is assist with parking during special events at the church. They also pair with the youth group to help out with the pancake fundraiser in the fall. Currently, the men are in recess for the summer but will reconvene in the fall. Keep an eye out for any related announcements and feel free to reach out to Chad Davis or Pastor Joe if you would like to get involved. The men are eager to have more people join, and invite anyone interested to do so.
