About the Abiding Presence Food Pantry
The Abiding Presence Food Pantry is a “no questions asked” pantry open to anyone in need. The pantry is held on the 2nd & 4th Saturdays of the month. View our upcoming pantry dates here.
The most critical need for our neighbors is healthy fresh food. We offer meat, eggs, dairy, fresh produce, beans, and rice to meet this need. There also may be canned goods, bakery items and children’s lunch box snacks.
As a Capital Area Food Bank Partner we receive free produce. Financial donations allow us to purchase meat, dairy and eggs. We rely on in-kind donations of prepackaged snacks, zip lock bags (1 gallon), rice (1 lb bag) and beans (1 lb bag).
Carpenter's Shelter
Carpenter’s Shelter supports people experiencing and at risk of homelessness to achieve sustainable independence through shelter and housing placement, guidance, education, and advocacy. Abiding Presence's feeding ministry includes a longstanding commitment to provide the 5th Sunday meal to the residents of the Carpenter's Shelter. It's one more way we are being the church for the sake of the world, building a community where all are fed. If you would like to get involved in future 5th Sunday meals, email the Abiding Presence office.
