Wednesday, November 27 at 7:00 p.m. at Abiding Presence

Abiding Presence and Temple B’nai Shalom share a more than 30 year tradition of worshiping together on Thanksgiving Eve. This year’s service is at Abiding Presence and will feature a combined adult choir, children’s choir and orchestra. Rabbi Widzer will preach. A reception will follow the service. All are welcome to join us to give thanks for all God’s blessings.

For over 30 years, the congregation of Abiding Presence Lutheran Church and Temple B’nai Shalom have come together to worship on Thanksgiving Eve. We are enthusiastically inviting our Kindergarten through 6th Grade kiddos to join our Thanksgiving Eve Kids Choir. We will join with kids from Temple B’nai Shalom and sing two songs. Join us for a special one-show-only production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. This is the culminating performance of our weeklong Musical Theater Day Camp for 6th-12th grade students. Joseph is a hilarious retelling of the story of Jacob’s youngest son, the dream-interpreter from the book of Genesis. Come and support our campers as they sing, dance, and share the amazing tale of “a dreamer like you!”

Joseph is a co-production of Abiding Presence Lutheran Church and Temple B’nai Shalom.

Saturday, December 2 at 6:00 p.m.

It’s an annual Abiding Presence tradition and the official kick-off of the holiday season at Abiding Presence! This favorite service is filled with jazz, scripture, prayer and Holy Communion. Abiding Presence member Craig Fraedrich (craigfraedrichmusic.com) and friends come together to lead the service. Following the service, we’ll have a dessert reception and the chance to gather with friends old and new. Before, after and during Advent Jazz Vespers as well as on Sunday morning, Fair Trade Winds will have a popup display in the church narthex.

Musical Theater Acting Camp • Rising 4th-6th grade
July 24-28 from 12:30-3:30 p.m.

Do you love to sing and act? This week is for you! Campers will work with experienced acting and musical theater coaches on preparing songs and short scenes from musicals and plays, with a focus on developing acting skills and expressive singing. We’ll also create improv scenes, play acting games, learn about the history of musical theater and how musicals are created, and even write some of our own original music! Register here.

Jesus' messages of kindness, tolerance and love come vibrantly to life in this dynamic production of Godspell Jr. based on the Broadway musical.
