Confirmation is at the heart of our Middle School youth ministry for students in 7th and 8th grades. It is the process by which our 7th and 8th graders prepare to affirm their baptisms and become adult members of the church. The four key components of the program are:

  • Active participation in weekly worship

  • Sunday morning small groups

  • Monthly “Family Group” meetings where small groups of families meet together for fun and faith formation

  • Monthly “Clergy Group” meetings where students meet with the pastors

We welcome all of our middle school students to participate, regardless of whether they have been part of our confirmation program in the past. Parents of 7th and 8th grade students should have received an email from Pastor Kelsey. New students are always welcome to participate in confirmation and are welcome to join at any time during the program.If you are new to the congregation or didn’t receive the email, please contact Pastor Kelsey Kresse, Associate Pastor.

During the final Sunday School Cycle this Spring (April 14th, 21st, and 28th and May 5th, 12th, and 19th)) all rising 7th graders are invited to join Pastor Kelsey for Confirmation Kickstart during the Education hour on Sunday mornings (10:05-10:50a.m.)! We will get a head start on all things Confirmation, bond as a group, start exploring our Confirmation Bibles, and talk about what the next two years together will look like! On May 19th we are inviting parents to join their students for the education hour to hear more about the program! If you have questions, please email Pastor Kelsey.

May 5th at both the 9:00a.m. and 11:00a.m. services

On Youth Sunday all youth in 7-12th grade will be invited to help plan and participate in worship leadership. Confirmands Abiding Fellows, ad Abiding Fellow Apprentices will spend the weeks running up to Youth Sunday writing the service together. HS Seniors will give reflections. May 5th at both services.
