- 7:00pm - Concert
Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. from September to May. The choir sings music from all eras from baroque to contemporary. They use varied instrumentation and, as worship leaders during the 11:00 a.m. service, encourage congregational participation. If you love to sing, this is your opportunity.
The praise band is made up of vocalists, guitars, keyboard and drums. The band leads the music at our Sunday morning praise service. High Schoolers and adults are invited to be part of the band, which rehearses on Saturday afternoons.
Children's Music Ministry
All children's choirs consist of age-appropriate activities, singing songs and playing instruments to lift praises to the Lord! The choir groups give children the opportunity to socialize with their friends and have fun singing, signing and dancing! The children learn songs with the aid of CDs and the piano. Those who are readers and learning to read will be introduced to written music. Sign language and movement help in learning the songs and enhances the presentation of the songs. Instruments help teach rhythm while having fun making a joyful noise!
Trumpets and horns have long been called upon to praise God. At Abiding Presence, we've been praising God with all sorts of horns for as long as the church has been around! Come join us.
Bring your French horn, euphonium, trombone, tuba, or trumpet. Our group is targeted for adults and high school youth. For you adults out there, we know you have an old horn tucked away in a closet somewhere. Well, get it out and oil it up. Start blowing! Contact Mike Dyson through the church office if interested.
